Ik ben ook wel benieuwd naar het verloop van die rechtszaken eigenlijk. Ik gaat ook eens ff zoeken. Leuk je weer te treffen Armanius! Ik was al bang dat nu Mallona het mes in de rug van zijn gebruikers heeft geprikt ik het contact met veel mensen kwijt zou raken.

De Tweede Wereldoorlog begon toen de Duitsers Polen in september 1939 binnenvielen. Drie weken nadat Rockefeller's Standard Oil in New Jersey en de Duitse chemische IG Farben de deal maakte om tijdens de oorlog patenten, royalty's en deals te delen. Alles in het geheim en via neutrale Zuid-Amerikaanse landen zoals Colombia. Om het legaal te laten lijken is de datum veranderd zodat het contract de datum kreeg van drie weken voor de oorlog. Wie deed de bemiddeling en arrangeerde dit? Joseph P. Kennedy, die een pro-Hitler Amerikaanse ambassadeur in Londen was van 1938 tot oktober 1940 en "Founding Father 'van de Kennedy-clan. Zie: "The Crime and Punishment of I.G. Farben" by Joseph Borkin. I.G. Farben had een geheime overeenkomst met de top van de Amerikaanse militaire staf, geen van Farben faciliteiten zou worden gebombardeerd tijdens de oorlog. Aan het einde van de oorlog waren de Farben fabrieken voor 93 procent onaangeroerd en nog intact.

Een Amerikaanse militaire functionaris schreef een gedocumenteerd verslag over I.G. Farben, waarom is het niet gebombardeerd. Zie het boek "I.G. Farben" van Richard Sasuly, Boni & Gaer Publ., N.Y. N.Y, 1947.

Mooie aanvulling Combi

Hoi,

Het probleem wat ik hiermee eigenlijk heb is dat de IG Farben net als haar nazaten, Hoechst etc. eigenlijk abstracties zijn. Het lijkt me veel interesanter te weten wie daar dan uiteindelijk achter zit.

A propos ik heb bij Hoechst gewerkt en daar liepen toen nog mensen rond uit de oorlogstijd (omdat men hen het oorlogspensioengeld had afgenomen en ze dus langer dan 40jaar moesten werken voor een vol pensioen) en die wisten dat allemaal best wel en verontschuldigden zich daar nog steeds te pas en te onpas voor.

De aanvulling van Combi is interessant want die noemt naam, maar helaas geen toenaam. "IG farben had een geheime overeenkomst met de top van de Amerikaanse militaire staf."

Auschwitz III, aka Monowitz, was established in 1942 at the site of the chemical factories of IG Farbenindustrie near the small village of Monowitz, which was located four kilometers from the town of Auschwitz. The IG Farben company had independently selected this location around the same time that Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler decided, in April 1940, to locate a new concentration camp in the town of Auschwitz. The most important factory at Monowitz was the Buna Werke, which was owned by the IG Farben company.

Of the three Nazi concentration camps located near the town of Auschwitz, the Auschwitz III camp was the most important to the Nazis because of its factories which were essential to the German war effort. The Monowitz industrial complex was built by Auschwitz inmates, beginning in April 1941. Initially, the workers walked from the Auschwitz main camp to the building site, a distance of seven kilometers.

The decision to build chemical factories at Auschwitz transformed both the camp and the town. On February 2, 1941, Herman Göring ordered the Jews in the town to be relocated to a ghetto, and German civilians moved into their former homes.

Auschwitz quickly went from a primitive Jewish town of 12,000 inhabitants to a modern German town of 40,000 people which included an influx of German engineers and their families. Both the main Auschwitz camp and the Birkenau camp were expanded in order to provide workers for the factories. Before Monowitz became a separate camp with barracks buildings, the prisoners had to walk from the other camps to the factories. ......

Die Handlung des Films basiert auf zeitgenössischen Akten aus dem Prozeß gegen Direktoren der IG Farben und Zeitungsberichten über eine gewaltige Explosion eines Chemiewerkes in Ludwigshafen. Der Film klagt die Mitschuld deutscher Industrieller am Faschismus an.
